About the team?


The role is based in Bristol Parkway and Swindon and sits within the central stations team and falls under the Customer Service and Operations directorate.


About the job?


The role provides essential day-to-day support to the stations team based at Bristol Parkway and Swindon providing support to the Station Manager and Duty Station Manager, including answering queries on requisition orders, ordering uniform and general administration duties.


Your main responsibilities will be:



  • to be a constant presence in the station, responding to queries and requests

  • to be responsible for the Co Ordination and the provision of uniform and PPE and issuing to all station colleagues

  • to raise purchase orders for the stations team, and ensure invoices are logged

  • Oversee station rosters and liaising with payroll

  • to raise faults/Form As when necessary

  • to support local record keeping and processes

  • to oversee the health and safety notice boards and distribute notices within the team

  • to manage periodical medicals and booking of rules assessments for station colleagues

  • to provide support to the station management team, including taking minutes, secretarial and administration duties

  • To support the station management team with audit preparations

  • To use stations systems and processes to ensure compliance


You'll need to be:



  • highly organised with the ability to prioritise your workload

  • detail conscious

  • adaptable and flexible in your approach

  • able to establish relationships with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels

  • a high level of IT literacy


As a minimum you'll need to have:



  • previous administrative experience

  • the ability to maintain confidentiality

  • a high level of competence in Microsoft applications

  • the ability to cope with interruptions and remain calm, friendly and helpful when under pressure


About the location?


The role will be based at Bristol Parkway and Swindon. There is parking available onsite.


Working pattern?


You will need to be flexible with your working hours to meet the exigencies of the role.


Additional information?


Applicants successful short listed will be invited to attend an interview.  The successful candidate will be required to meet the medical standards for the role which includes a drugs and alcohol screen.  A Basic DBS is also required.
