Hours: 37.5 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Salary: Up to £33,635 per annum (dependent on experience)

MK College Group have an exciting new opportunity for a Business & IT Cover Tutor, to join the team based at HMP Fosse Way, Leicester.

Reporting to the Business and IT Programme Manager, you will be supporting the team to deliver the Business and IT curriculum which consists of Business, IT, Finance and Customer Service courses. You will actively engaging prison-based students with creative classes and resources. Many of the students have a diverse range of needs and learning abilities, they will often have had a negative experience with education. As a successful Tutor, you will truly inspire them and provide students with a positive learning experience.

This role may involve outreach work outside of the main classroom setting. You will be connecting with students in a professional manner, supporting them with their learning, enabling them to achieve success through not only qualifications, but developing the confidence and softer skills that they can apply to employment as well as other areas of education.

We are seeking an individual who can communicate well with students to inspire and motivate them. The
average class consists of 12 students, supported by a student mentor. The sessions are approximately 2.75 long. Your lessons will need to be adaptable, innovative, and imaginative.

ABOUT HMP FOSSE WAY

HMP Fosse Way is a brand new, purpose built Resettlement Prison based in the Glen Parva area of Leicester. The prison will be operated by Serco with Milton Keynes College as their strategic education provider. Following the prison opening in Spring we are recruiting for talented and creative professionals to join the new Education team based in the prison. We have vacancies for daytime, evenings, and weekends positions though the majority of Education will be delivered Mon-Fri between 8:10-16:40.

Due to HMP Fosse Way being brand new, education staff will benefit from working in a new prison with up to date facilities, new resources and equipment.
