Purchase Ledger Controller required for a new and exciting permanent opportunity working for a small friendly but well established business based in Shrewsbury with a view to start immediately. You will be solely responsible for the day to day running of the purchase ledger function processing up to 500 invoices on a monthly basis. Your daily duties will include matching batching and coding invoices, processing payments by BACs every two weeks, reconciling supplier statements, resolving queries, processing expenses, reconciling company petty cash and assisting with other areas of accounts as and when required.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced accounts assistant looking for predominantly an accounts payable role but where you will assist with other areas of accounts. You should be able to work under minimal supervision and manage and prioritise your workload whilst meeting the business deadlines. You must have excellent interpersonal skills and strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables and vlookups) and other computerised accounting software.
My client is a small but well established business based in Shrewsbury with an open and friendly culture. This business is easily accessible by public transport, offers on site parking, 23 days annual leave plus bank holidays, the contracted hours are 37.5 per week and this will be a full time office based role.
