Cancer Pathway Coordinator 12 Month Fixed Term



AfC Band 4, 37.5 hours per week, 12 Month Fixed Term Monday to Friday. Withington Hospital/Wythenshawe Hospital



An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our friendly and enthusiastic cancer services team and make a difference to cancer patients and their families



Our team keep track of all the cancer patients at WTWA ensuring they are seen and treated as soon as possible and always within national cancer waiting time targets. In addition, we support the weekly multi-disciplinary team meetings which bring together doctors and nurses and other healthcare professionals involved in patient care to decide on the best treatment options for our patients



This post will be based at both the Withington and Wythenshawe sites. There is no specific split at present and this will be negotiated on appointment



Flexibility: The hours of the post would be worked over 5 days (Monday to Friday), taking account of the needs of the service and our flexible working policy



You will need to be hard working, a good communicator and able to work well with lots of different people. In return you will be a key member of the cancer services team working with a team of experienced cancer pathway coordinators who will provide peer support. The post provides an exciting opportunity to develop your skills for possible career development within the NHS



WTWA have good transport links, on site parking, an on site day nursery and access to the NHS pension scheme



To assist the Trust in reducing healthcare associated infections you should be familiar with the Trust’s Hand Decontamination Policy, attend mandatory induction training and be compliant with all hand hygiene standards at all times.
