As part of our ongoing commitment to the staff development and career progression within CAMHS, we are excited to be inviting applications for roles within the new CAMHS Crisis and Liaison Psychiatry Service. This is an excellent opportunity for passionate, flexible, enthusiastic people with the appropriate skills to join a new service.
The CAMHS Crisis and Liaison Psychiatry Service is looking to recruit Young Person and Family Outreach Workers to work alongside the Practitioners within the team to support young people in Crisis in their homes and acute hospital sites. This is a PAN Dorset post. The role itself is both demanding and rewarding; a flexible, hardworking approach is essential to managing the demands of working within a Crisis Service.
This posts are offered on a part-time (30 hours) basis and flexible working arrangements will be considered. Some weekend working and late/early shifts are a requirement of the post but would be managed through a rota. The post holder will need to have experience of working therapeutically with children and young people with mental health presentations and their families. Significant experience of working in a clinical role in mental health is essential.
Employment in this post requires an Enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, which the Trust will cover the cost of. Applicants who subscribe to the DBS update service are able to present a valid DBS certificate instead of requiring a new check.
To work with Children and Young People on the CAMHS caseload who require an intensive, time limited intervention to reduce mental health risk and distress, potentially with the aim of reducing the risk of requiring inpatient services.
Working as part of the multidisciplinary team to provide therapeutic interventions and treatment to children and young people with high risk and complex presentations.
Ensuring the highest standards of service are provided; to ensure that services to young people and their carers are delivered and developed accordingly to Trust, Social and Healthcare departmental policies.
Must hold a full current UK Driving Licence.
