The Requirements To Fill This Position Are As Below
- To adhere to all safety requirements incl. safety checks of tools and equipment
- To create precision-engineered parts from blank metal or plastic/composite materials using a variety of techniques including:
- Prepare and use horizontal and vertical boring machines; (desirable)
- Prepare and use lathes for turning operation
- Prepare and use milling machines
- Prepare and use grinding machines
- Ensure products are manufactured to tolerances required on technical drawings
- Apply screw-cutting techniques
- Interpret drawings
- Produce jobs within allocated timescales.
- Actively promote the Core Values within all work-based activities
- Must have NVQ3 in Machining, ONC Engineering or equivalent.
- Highly experienced in use of Horizontal/Vertical Borers/Centre Lathes
