Wincanton may have exciting opportunities for an experienced warehouse operative for our brand-new warehouse operation in Weston-Super-Mare. These are key roles that will be central to the successful delivery of a contract where Wincanton are providing warehousing services for equipment being delivered for the construction of Hinkley Point C.

Successful candidate will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance prior to commencing employment, this includes being able to provide a minimum of 3 years consecutive UK employment/education & residential history.

Day To Day Activities

• High level of health and safety; reporting, observing and practising
• MHE use; upto 16 tonne machinery
• unloading & offloading large items
• Supervising crane activity
• Escorting & supporting contractors around site
• Reviewing, updating and support process changes; Safe Systems of Work, Standard Operating Processes & training plans
• Quality checks on picking and packing of items to be sent to HPC and other Wincanton warehouses
• Supporting Life Time Quality Records; end to end documentation recording of all assets
  
  

What will you bring?

• Experience of working within a warehouse environment
• Excellent communication skills combined with logical problem-solving skills
• Ability to make recommendations for improvement
• Enthusiastic, committed and able to respond positively to changing demands
• MHE license(s) desirable but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidates (dependant on role)
