G Touring is the touring division of Bruce Poon Tip’s group of companies. He also owns G Adventures and Tru Travels. We operate Travelsphere Cares, and Just You Cares in partnership with Planeterra, the world’s leading non-governmental organisation turning travel into impact in communities around the globe.

Website Manager

Purpose of the role:

Reporting to the Head of Digital, the Website Manager owns the day-to-day management, setup, and performance of G Touring’s websites. This role ensures our brands are presented brilliantly online, with engaging content, intuitive navigation, and a seamless customer journey. You will take hands-on responsibility for setting up and merchandising the sites, continuously improving the customer experience through data, testing, and insight, ensuring our digital presence supports both commercial and brand objectives.

Location: This role is based in our office in Market Harborough.

Working Hours: Full-time permanent role working 37.5 hours per week 09:00 am-17:15 pm Monday to Friday with 45 minute lunch break.

In this role you will:

  • Manage the setup, structure, and presentation of all website pages, ensuring site navigation, categories, and layouts are intuitive and conversion-focused.
  • Take ownership of the merchandising strategy, ensuring products, offers, and content are optimally positioned across homepages, landing pages, and category sections
  • Ensure all imagery, copy, and content are high quality, brand-appropriate, and designed to inspire and inform.
  • Build and update product pages, campaigns, and destination content
  • Work closely with the Product and Marketing teams to support launches, promotions, and seasonal updates.
  • Use data and analytics to identify opportunities for improving engagement, usability, and conversion.
  • Champion UX best practices, ensuring the website delivers a seamless, accessible, and user-centred experience across all devices.
  • Lead ongoing CRO initiatives, designing and executing tests to improve key conversion metrics across the customer journey.
  • Develop and run A/B and multivariate tests to optimise layout, messaging, and content flow.
  • Monitor site performance using Google Analytics 4, Hotjar, or equivalent tools to understand customer behaviour and inform decision-making.
  • Report on site metrics, highlighting trends and making actionable recommendations to improve results.
  • Support the SEO strategy by implementing on-site and technical SEO recommendations within Umbraco.
  • Ensure that all updates and new pages follow SEO best practice for structure, metadata, and internal linking.
  • Work with developers to ensure site speed, tagging, and accessibility meet performance standards.
  • Partner with Marketing, Product, and Communications teams to align website activity with campaign plans and brand messaging.
  • Share performance insights and testing outcomes with key stakeholders.
  • Maintain alignment with G Adventures on shared tools, best practices, and technical development paths.

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have proven experience managing and merchandising content within Umbraco CMS (or equivalent enterprise CMS).
  • Have a strong understanding of UX principles, CRO, and data-led website optimisation.
  • Be skilled in Google Analytics 4, and A/B testing or heatmapping tools (e.g. Hotjar)
  • Have the ability to interpret data and translate insights into practical, user-focused improvements.
  • Have knowledge of HTML/CSS for light front-end troubleshooting.
  • Understand SEO fundamentals and experience implementing recommendations
  • Have excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
