We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and customer focused individual with a passion for the betting industry to join our Web Operations Team.
The Web Operations Department is an integral part of the Tote. The team are responsible for managing the pool on a day-to-day basis, identifying opportunities for the commercial teams, and ensuring high levels of accuracy for our customers, partners, and stakeholders. As Web Operations Supervisor you will support the Web Operations Manager to deliver operational excellence across the department.

The UK Tote Group is the proud owner and steward of the Tote, the UK’s leading pool betting operator since 1928. We’re passionate about all things racing, we love the sport and it’s in our DNA. You will find us online and across many racecourses in the UK and Ireland. We want the Tote to be at the heart of horseracing to help ensure a sustainable and successful future for the sport. We are using the best-in-class technology, digital innovation, and customer engagement, to develop the Tote to reach new audiences with innovative products.
The role will be based from our headquarters in Wigan, this the main hub for our team of over 200 innovative and ambitious experts dedicated to delivering our vision of providing the best betting experience for racing fans. This is an operational role so you'll need to have a flexible approach to work and be able to commit to evening and weekend work on a rota basis. You’ll be joining the team in a permanent full-time role (37.5 hour per week), with all shifts based from our Wigan Office.

The Web Operations Department is an integral part of the Tote. As Web Operations Supervisor you will support the Web Operations Manager to deliver operational excellence across the department.
What you’ll be doing:
- Day-to-day management of the team of Web Operations team, including one to ones, development, coaching, and feedback to ensure engagement and high-level performance
- Manage the build for UK, Irish, and international race meetings using web applications ensuring the highest standard of accuracy
- Training new and existing Web Operations team members to meet the required levels of performance
- Motivate, guide and mentor team members to create a positive work environment that is focused on operational excellence
- Collaborate with the Web Operations Manager to produce policies and procedures that meet the business needs
- Prepare and submit weekly reports on the Web Operations team's performance
- Monitoring races, identifying incidents, and taking remedial action when incidents occur

What we are looking for:
- Previous experience working in the betting industry
- Proven experience working in a process driven fast-paced environment
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
- Confident in the use of Microsoft Office products and computer-based applications.
- Ability to confidently make decisions whilst working under pressure
- Strong organisational skills
- A genuine interest in sports and the betting industry
- An awareness of pool betting and Tote products is advantageous
