EPW2Job title: Warehouse OperativeLocation: TelfordWorking hours: 4 on 4 off (6am-6pm) Job PurposeThe Warehouse Operative will be responsible for achieving appropriate performance in all warehouse activities and tasks. The key delivery aspect of this role is to ensure the customer receives the correct product, the correct quantity, the correct quality and the correct delivery time/date.Key Accountabilities
- Adherence to all organisational policies, management systems and standard operational procedures, including legal responsibilities in relation to Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality.
- Work positively to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues and contracted personnel in order to maintain a culture of mutual respect and dignity.
- Represent the organisation in a positive way as to avoid the damage of corporate image or bringing the company into disrepute.
- Promote and Display the Epwin Core Values.
- Ensure high levels of accuracy in all tasks.
- Ensure products are presented at the required standards.
- Ensure health and safety processes and procedures are followed at all times.
- Ensure adherence to agreed break times.
- Communicate information via the relevant communication channels.
- Alert relevant people to process and product concerns and/or rectify where appropriate.
- Agree and complete training and development requirements as determined by the Supervisor and the training plan.
- Safeguard property issued by the company.
- Ensure workplace is clean and tidy – all housekeeping procedures are followed and the workplace is safe.
- Wear the appropriate uniform and PPE.
- Operate machinery and equipment safely, following all procedures.
- Undertake reasonable duties as and when required/as directed by a Supervisor
- Basic level of numeracy and literacy.
- Ability to use a PC to an operational level where necessary.
- Good communication skills.
- Attendance including absence and lateness.
- Housekeeping audits.
- Errors and mistakes performance metrics.
- Productivity performance metrics.
- Key performance indicators for the site, team and individually.
- Clean, neat and tidy approach to work.
- Punctual and adaptable.
- Ability to work on own initiative or as part of a larger team.
- Good polite and professional manner and appearance.
- Motivated to learn and develop skills.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment.
- Positive approach to the working environment.
