Our Special Operations teams support the implementation of Lineage preferred warehouse management processes and systems. The special ops team consists of teams of managers and capability leads, will break down operational processes in detail, and work between warehouse operations, project management and IT to support the implementation of Lineage preferred warehouse management systems.

As a Warehouse Manager you will be leading a high performing team of warehouse specialists, you will be an expert in warehouse operations, a proven track record of change leadership and you will be responsible for the successful deployment of our globally established warehouse processes. The role requires people first leadership with a strong bias for talent development.

The role can be based anywhere in the UK; regular travel to our locations across the UK should be expected. Some travel to the US/Europe for training and learning may be required.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Warehouse Specialists in the UK
  • Be the lead subject matter expert (SME) in all things relating to warehouse operations (putaway, pick, marshalling, loading, rework etc.)
  • Work with the onsite team to audit the existing inbound & outbound procedures in place and implement recommendations
  • Knowledgeable in Lean Inventory SOP’s
  • Ensure consistency in process adherence across the Lineage sites, meeting global Playbook standards
  • Own the warehouse training plan and ensure it is adhered to ensure timescales are met in relation to Go Live
  • Continuously look for continuous improvement opportunities
  • Work effectively as part of a team with the inventory and admin capability leads to ensure findings are shared and documented
  • Due to the nature of the business at times you may be required to support ongoing operations as needed

Key requirements for the position:

  • Has a passion for talent development and people first leadership
  • Experience of leading teams in a high-volume warehouse environment
  • Have led ‘virtual’ or disparate teams of people
  • Proven experience of building high performing teams
  • Strong influencing & proven relationship building skills at all levels
  • Good at diagnosing and solving problems
  • Project management experience, demonstrated track record of meeting critical paths, risk mitigation & stakeholder management
  • Strong system expertise – especially warehouse management systems
  • Detailed knowledge of core warehousing processes
  • Strong understanding of Inventory controls
  • Experience in implementations within the warehouse of a 3PL environment
  • The ability to travel and work away from home for extended periods of time, especially in the run up to Go Live
