Celebrating our 10th anniversary in 2026, new trustees are invited to contribute to the ongoing activities and future development of the organisation - realising plans which will continue to benefit the communities we wish to serve.
What difference will you make?
As part of our Board you will be able to support and shape our work, with a particular focus on promoting the charity - reaching beneficiaries and supporters alike. We are at an exciting milestone in the Charity's existence - welcoming new trustees is vital in helping us bring new thinking and perspectives, to support our continued success in delivering our charitable objectives.

In addition to the specific skills listed, we would be looking for experience of the arts/charity sectors (e.g. working, volunteering, serving as a trustee) would be highly valued marketing/communications experience enjoying working collaboratively within a team, whilst also being willing and able to take the lead on specific projects can-do attitude, outcome focussed
What will you be doing?
The Hertfordshire Festival of Music has established a reputation as a credible deliverer of high quality initiatives (with a focus on classical music) over the last 10 years. Having navigated the challenges of the covid pandemic, and the continuing funding pressures within the arts, we have demonstrated our resilience and adaptability in the face of change. We are now keen to build on what we have achieved to date, looking to the future to ensure we remain an active and relevant player in delivering our charitable objectives. Key to this is continuing to challenge the perceptions around the classical genre and remove the barriers which may prevent access to experiencing such music and it's life-enhancing capacity. We are keen to expand the Board (currently 5 members) and recruit new trustees who have an appreciation of the arts and the importance they have in enriching people's lives. This will support an informed and enthusiastic contribution - bringing new ideas and energy to the table. Alongside specific skills we wish to strengthen and enhance, we are looking for individuals who enjoy positive, collaborative working to identify opportunities and overcome challenges.
