Life for vulnerable families and children in the most deprived area of Derby has become more difficult in the aftermath of the Covid pandemic and the present economic conditions. In responding to this we have been developing our services, for example; we have recently introduced a 'Reach for Wellbeing" programme to support the mental health of parents with young children; And we are developing a programme to support parents with children with autistic traits. Our mentoring service has introduced group mentoring in order to cope with demand and along with this is introducing access to diversionary activities such as rock climbing and five a side football. You will also play a vital roll in overseeing the effective development and implementation of these and other services. We are very proud to say the charity was honoured in 2020 with The Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service. This year we celebrate 50 years of supporting children and families in Derby.
