Working Hours: Full time 37.5 hours per week – Monday to Friday

What You’ll Do
As the Capacity & Configuration Specialist will provide a point of focus for network capacity performance and effectively manage the control of assets by providing a logical model detailing how the assets and components interrelate. You will produce Capacity Reports, based on business usage trends, business Capacity Plans, taking into account the customer’s strategy and demand forecasts including the planned deployment of new or changed services. You will be accountable for using toolsets and applications from the Configuration & Capacity Management System to provide accurate and current information in support of the customer and all other ITIL roles and processes.

What You’ll Do

You will:
- Provide ITIL aligned Capacity, Configuration and Asset Management.
- Produce and maintain an appropriate and up-to-date Capacity Report, which reflects the current and future needs of the business.
- Identify, control, record, report, audit and verify service assets and configuration items, including versions, attributes, and relationships.
- Provide advice and guidance to all other areas of the business on all capacity & configuration related issues.
- Ensure service performance achievements meet or exceed all agreed performance targets, by managing the capacity and configuration of both services and resources.
You will have:
- Knowledge of Capacity & Configuration
- Experience of communicating to all levels of the business internally and externally .
- Knowledge of asset and configuration management within large transmission and IP networks and related hardware/software.
- Knowledge of BMC Remedy CMDB software
- Sufficient understanding of the telecommunication technologies, ensuring all assets are captured, their configurations recorded and audited, and configuration standards are correctly adhered to.
- Experience of the ITIL framework
- Eligibility for SC Clearance
