Our busy, RCVS practice standards accredited, and Silver Cat Friendly Clinic in Newton Abbot is growing fast and has an exciting opportunity for you to join us!
The practice has gone from strength to strength since opening in 2014 and is now an extremely successful business, providing a first-class service to our loyal client base. This is all down to our teams’ hard work and we’re all very proud to have a very low colleague turnover, offering excellent care to our patients as well as a warm and welcoming environment for our team.
Owner and Vet Chris, qualified from RVC in London in 2008 before returning to Devon to continue his career. In joining Chris and his team, you’ll be working alongside an experienced team of 4 vets, an exceptional and loyal team of 6 RVNs including nurses who undertake schedule 3 procedures and a strong and innovative front of house team, all supported by Head Reception Ceylone and Practice Manager Nicola.
Our teams’ wellbeing means everything to us so as well as holding regular team meetings and appraisals we have an active messenger group allowing everyone to discuss cases, complete handovers and feel included.
We're happy to be flexible on the hours so are offering this position as anything between 20 to 40 hours a week with a variety of shifts, just 1 in in 5 weekends and no OOH.
In joining our team and supporting a great community and client base, we are looking for a team player with great communication skills and someone that shares our passion for providing the highest level of veterinary care. This is a great place for you to grow and whether you are an experienced vet or a new graduate, our team will be very happy to mentor and support you.
The practice itself is purpose built to industry leading standards and has all the equipment you’d expect from a thriving GP practice. We’ve recently invested in a brand-new handheld dental X-ray machine, new haematology analyser and even a cytology analyser being installed imminently which will allow ear swab cytology reports to be available in 10 mins during the consult.

- Salary up to £70,000 (DOE)
- No out of hours
- Paid holiday of 28 days (5.6 weeks), rising to 33 days (6.6 weeks) after 2 years of service
