Are you experienced at working with vehicles and horticultural equipment or have a background in vehicle maintenance looking to develop your skills and knowledge further with a range of vehicles, including waste collection vehicles, vans and plant. We have a fantastic opportunity for you to come and join us here in the beautiful Test Valley, working within our excellent Environmental Service team!

As one of our Vehicle Technicians, you’ll work with appropriate supervision as required, undertaking repair and maintenance of our extensive fleet of plant and vehicles, supporting key services, including the grounds maintenance, street cleansing and waste services. You will ensure that everything is maintained to a safe and legal standard and that the service schedules are met. You’ll need to supply a comprehensive tool kit which will need to be kept updated and in good condition.

It’s essential that you have a L3 NVQ in vehicle maintenance for the higher graded role, however, this role provides an opportunity to develop and progress if you have limited qualifications and or experience. Ideally you will also have experience of vehicle, plant and equipment repair and maintenance related to a multi-disciplinary operation such as a local authority. You need to be reliable, able to plan your work logically, and enjoy working in a busy and diverse environment.
