VAT Manager
What your role as a VAT Manager will involve:
As VAT Manager at Ingram Micro UK, you will be responsible for ensuring full compliance with VAT obligations across the business. This includes reviewing and submitting VAT returns, advising on VAT implications of commercial transactions, managing HMRC audits, and supporting internal stakeholders with expert VAT guidance.
This role is critical in mitigating tax risks, supporting business operations, and ensuring accurate tax reporting in a complex, high-volume environment.

This includes reviewing and submitting VAT returns, advising on VAT implications of commercial transactions, managing HMRC audits, and supporting internal stakeholders with expert VAT guidance.
This role is critical in mitigating tax risks, supporting business operations, and ensuring accurate tax reporting in a complex, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and submit accurate VAT returns, EC Sales Lists, and Intrastat reports.
- Reconcile VAT GL with VAT returns and explain trends or variances.
- Interrogate ERP systems to resolve VAT-related issues.
- Advise on VAT treatment for domestic and cross-border transactions.
- Act as primary contact for HMRC audits and correspondence.
- Monitor VAT legislation changes and assess business impact.
- Support ERP system changes and tax engine configurations.
- Professional tax/accounting qualification
- Minimum 5 years of VAT experience in a corporate or advisory environment
- Experience with cross-border VAT and EU compliance
- Experience with ERP systems and tax automation tools
