Where will you be working

As an organisation, there is little we don’t do and plenty to get involved in. Our Group Support roles are vital in making sure we can help over 11,000 people deliver essential infrastructure seamlessly across water, energy, transport and telecom.

This role is in our Plant & Fleet department, our Plant & Fleet supports teams across our business with their vehicle, plant and specialist equipment needs, offering hire solutions that are commercially effective, reliable, safe and compliant.

What will you be doing?

Carry out and record daily vehicle checks to keep our fleet safe and roadworthy.

Process delivery and collection paperwork, checking items and fleet numbers match.

Safely load and unload equipment, including driving or attaching plant where needed.

Plan routes based on priority to ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

Collect site signatures and record any defects or missing equipment.

Follow all licence, driving hours, and working time regulations.

Work within M Group Services’ Plant & Fleet policies, procedures, and risk assessments.

Complete required training, including DCPC, in-house, and FORS.

Support your team to meet all tasks and deadlines together.

What You’ll Bring

  • Full, clean driving licence up to and including B+E (essential); C1+E (107) would be advantageous
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card
  • Current Driver CPC certification/training
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Good knowledge of general plant and equipment
  • Safe Load and Securing training (NPORS or equivalent)
