Salary: £64,062 with potential to rise to £75,367 over 3 years

The Value Stream Lead – Store to Fulfil plays a pivotal role in NHS Supply Chain’s major transformation programme, leading the design and implementation of new, best-practice business processes from the ground up.

This is not a role focused on incremental change—it requires bold thinking and the creation of out-of-the-box solutions that redefine how the organisation operates. The successful candidate will take full ownership of both the current (‘as-is’) and future (‘to-be’) process landscapes, acting as a gatekeeper to ensure alignment across teams and stakeholders.

This autonomous position offers the opportunity to contribute to a large-scale, multi-year transformation, with long-term responsibility for process performance and continuous improvement. It provides high visibility across the organisation and valuable experience in ERP transformation, stakeholder engagement, and process leadership.

Reporting to the Head of End-to-End Process, the Value Stream Lead will collaborate closely with subject matter experts, programme teams, internal cross-functional departments, and external stakeholders, including customers and suppliers.

What does a Value Stream Lead – Store to Fulfi do at NHS Supply Chain?

  • Process Ownership & Leadership – Champion and define future ways of working.
  • Process Mapping & Documentation – Understand and document current processes.
  • Design & Requirements Definition – Lead the creation of future processes and translate them into system requirements.
  • Change Management & Testing – Support implementation, testing, and ensure a successful go-live.
  • Performance Monitoring – Establish metrics and monitor long-term process performance.

What skills, qualifications and qualities do I need to be successful?

  • Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) within the Order to Cash process area
  • Proven experience in process performance and continuous improvement.
  • Experience in ERP transformation and process leadership.
  • Proven experience engaging with stakeholders at different levels, including customers and suppliers.
  • Hands-on Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Expertise in technical delivery and leadership within large scale supply chain, B2B Wholesale, E-Retail or similar environments.
