Vacation Scheme: Cambridge 2026

Mishcon de Reya LLP

Date: 1 day ago
City: Cambridge
Contract type: Full time

The role of a Mishcon Cambridge trainee

We are looking for a distinctive contribution from our Mishcon Cambridge trainees. In addition to the demands of the Mishcon training contract more generally, we would hope and expect to see some specific input from you including:

  • A dynamic, clear and sustained long-term commitment to our Cambridge office and the Cambridge market. We expect you to quickly get to know our Cambridge set-up and to cultivate a sense of ownership in what we are trying to achieve in Cambridge. We expect our trainees to be the people who really add vibrancy to our working environment, to be present and charismatic at the heart of the office community and to be laying strong foundations for a future career in the Cambridge markets in which we operate;
  • A strong interest in the Innovation Economy. Our Cambridge offering is multi-dimensional but understandably much of what we do is targeted at the Innovation Economy that Cambridge represents. So, for example, while you might not have a scientific background, we expect you to be eager to learn about a diverse range of technological developments such as AI, biotechnology, quantum computing, clean energy and high-tech materials;
  • A committed networker within Cambridge from Day 1, both with clients and intermediaries, but also with Young Professionals groups and with our community partners. In short, we need you to have a positive profile in Cambridge networks, to enjoy attending events and to be proactive in getting involved and meeting people. We will give you every support to ensure you are not a wallflower but seen to embody the combination of dynamism and charisma that we want our offering to be known for;
  • A vocal ambassador and proactive connector for our Cambridge office within our firm. In any law firm, the trainee cohort will be among the most connected groups of all. You will develop close ties with your fellow cohort within Mishcon and will show leadership in spreading word of our mission in Cambridge and a warm welcome to visitors. You will work hard to develop improved links across our wider firm by ensuring that our Cambridge offering, via your positive presence, is on the map for all the right reasons.

We recruit all our future Trainees through our Vacation Schemes, so we can get to know you and more importantly you can experience what life at Mishcon is really like as a Trainee!

This is to apply for our Cambridge Vacation Scheme.
