We are looking for an experienced User Experience (UX) Designer to join our Global UX team on a remote working basis. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to shape and execute the overall design strategy for our digital products and websites at ULS.
This role will be based remotely in the UK or Spain.

We are looking for an experienced User Experience (UX) Designer to join our Global UX team on a remote working basis. This position offers a meaningful opportunity to shape and execute the overall design strategy for our digital products and websites at ULS.
This role will be based remotely in the UK or Spain.
Responsibilities
- Establish and implement the overall design strategy for digital products and websites.
- Define and optimize design processes and tools.
- Lead UX design activities on initiatives from beginning to end for ULS digital products and websites balancing multiple product needs at once.
- Understand and advocate for client and end-user needs.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to help define business and feature requirements, user scenarios, and use cases.
- Create UX and design assets including process flows, site amps, conceptual diagrams, wireframes, and mockups to effectively communicate high-level design strategies and detailed interaction behaviours.
- Present design solutions in ways that communicate the value of design decisions.
- Work closely with product stakeholders to ensure a full understanding of the product team's needs and priorities.
- Provide design leadership to technical teams.
- Mentor and assist other UX Designers.
- Lead weekly team meetings and design reviews.
- Work within project timelines, and deliver design assets to support product roadmap.
- Evangelize user experience and user-centered design throughout the company.
- Read and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.
- Bachelor's degree or demonstrated competency in Usability, Human Factors, Human-Computer Interaction, Psychology or relevant field.
- 5 years of User Experience design experience or demonstrated competency.
- Expert knowledge of modern design/prototyping tools.
- Demonstrated ability in one more additional areas of user-centered design such as; content strategy, information architecture, or visual design.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in modern research, prototyping, and design tools.
- Expert knowledge of user-centred design methodologies, usability principles, information architecture and interaction design.
- Take ownership of self-development, and stay current with design patterns, best practices, and tools in the field of UX.
- Can coach and mentor others.
