We have an exciting, newly created role of Used Car Buyer available within our Mercedes-Benz division.

We are offering a basic salary of £37,500 with an OTE of £60,000 plus company car and benefits.

As our Used Car Buyer, you will be purchasing vehicles online for our approved Used Car programme via various web based platforms, along with prospecting our current database for purchasing opportunities and investigating and actioning lost part exchanges via data analysis.

The vehicles purchased must comply with the stock profile & stock requirements of the Mercedes-Benz division. All stock purchased must return the required return of investment in line with the budgeted targets of the division.

You will be responsible for dealing with suppliers on a day to day basis not only purchasing vehicles, but physically assessing vehicles as per our internal vehicle appraisal process and ensuring all the relevant paperwork is processed in a timely manner to ensure suppliers are paid within the necessary agreed timeframes.

You will be responsible for handling any issues that may arise from a vehicle being purchased and ensuring all vehicles arrive on site within the agreed timeframes. You will also take an active part in securing new suppliers we can utilise to increase the number of purchases within the division.

You will be based at one of our five Mercedes Benz sites based in; Ascot, Aylesbury, Beaconsfield, Reading or Slough. Regular travel between all 5 locations will be required.

For this role we are looking for you to have:

• Strong Communication Skills
• Experience of working with web based platforms
• Good attention to detail
• Good knowledge of working with Excel
• Capable of working to deadlines and working well under pressure
  
  
  

The ideal candidate will have experience in the following areas:

• A solid understanding of the used car market
• Previous experience in a Used Car Buyer or Used Car Sales Manager role, with direct responsibility for vehicle purchasing
• Experience working with the Mercedes-Benz brand would be highly beneficial
