US Loans & Money Officer (Part-time 0.5FTE)

Job description We are seeking a proactive and student focused individual to join our team as a US Loans & Money Officer. In this role, you will provide information and guidance to US and Canadian students in receipt of US Federal Loans and other related funding, supporting them from pre arrival through to graduation

You will play a key part in ensuring students feel confident and well informed about their funding options, helping them to access the financial support they need to succeed in their studies

Alongside student support, you will take responsibility for the operational management of the University’s administration of US federal loans and related private funding. This includes ensuring compliance with the requirements of the US Department of Education

You will also support UK students by providing clear advice on statutory student loans and funding available through the university, ensuring all students feel confident in accessing the financial support they need to succeed in their studies

This is a fantastic opportunity to combine direct student impact with critical compliance work, helping the University maintain its reputation and eligibility to welcome students from North America

You will also need the ability to understand, interpret, and explain complex guidelines and processes clearly to both staff and students, ensuring that students are able to access the full range of funding available to them

Closing date: Tuesday 27th January (23.59)

To arrange an informal discussion about this post, please contact Ben Turner-Chastney [email protected]

Working here means you’ll also have access to a wide range of benefits including our generous pension schemes, excellent holiday entitlements, flexible working, reduced study fees, subsidised fitness facilities and a lot more

We welcome applications from all individuals and particularly from black and minority ethnic candidates as members of these groups are currently under-represented at this level of post. All appointments will be based on merit
