Trustee & Treasurer - Life Chance Trust - Volunteer

We are now seeking an exceptional Trustee & Treasurer to join our Board and play a vital role in strengthening our financial leadership. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who is motivated and ready to make a meaningful contribution to vulnerable young people.

The Trustee & Treasurer is a vital member of the Board, providing strategic financial leadership and ensuring the charity’s financial affairs are conducted properly, transparently, and in line with best practice.

This role is essential in supporting the charity to meet its objectives and deliver positive outcomes for vulnerable young people.

What are we looking for?

• Qualified accountant or experienced finance professional.
• Strong understanding of financial governance and financial risk management.
• Strategic thinker with the ability to balance financial risk and opportunity.
• Effective communicator able to explain complex financial matters clearly to non- finance experts.
• Experience with budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and working with auditors.
  
  

What will you be doing?

Alongside fulfilling the legal duties of a Trustee, the Treasurer will

• Maintain an overview of Life Chance Trust’s financial health.
• Ensure proper financial controls and procedures are in place.
• Lead the Finance Sub-Committee.
• Work closely with the CEO and external accountants to advise the Board.
