Transportation Manager

We have an exciting new opportunity to join our new distribution centre in Ellesmere Port as a Transport Team Manager.

This will be working a 5 days in 7 (including weekends) | 22:00 to 06:00

You will be operating in line with company values to provide excellent customer service to our retail teams and drivers, whilst working collaboratively with DC loading teams and meeting all legal requirements.

We are only able to consider candidates with a Class 1 License.

The key accountabilities for the role are as follows:

• Conduct driver pre-shift brief (despatching drivers) and de-briefs.
• General day to day management of drivers.
• R2C data entry, as well as completing Scania grading / reports.
• Conduct return to work meetings, 4 / 8 / 12 week reviews and conduct/absence investigations.
• Provide customer service to the retail teams when needed.
• Liaise with DC teams and complete near-mis reporting.
• Provide support to the Transport Shift Manager where required.

What we are looking for:

• Knowledge of health and safety control and data control.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Computer literate with good numerical skills.
• Be able to engage with colleagues.
