Description

We are looking for a talented Transportation Administrator to join our team specializing in Logistics for our Transportation Department in Daventry, United Kingdom. 

You will be required to work on rotational shifts from 07:00 to 15:00 and 14:00 to 22:00. The Transport Office operates between 07:00 and 22:00, Monday to Friday. Therefore, you will be expected to rotate your working pattern accordingly to ensure coverage during these hours.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Effective Communication: Your strong communication skills will ensure clear and efficient interactions with Customer Services, external freight forwarders, and other stakeholders, minimizing misunderstandings and delays.
  • Timely Shipments: By processing engine shipments promptly, you'll help maintain a smooth supply chain, ensuring that products reach customers on time.
  • Transportation Coordination: Arranging transportation bookings with external freight forwarders will optimize logistics and reduce transportation costs, contributing to overall efficiency.
  • Customs Compliance: Raising customs requests accurately and timely will ensure compliance with regulations, preventing delays and potential fines.
  • Customer Documentation: Following up on customer documentation will enhance customer satisfaction by providing timely and accurate information about their orders.
  • Team Collaboration: Being a team player, you'll foster a collaborative work environment, contributing to the team's overall success and productivity.
  • Data Management: Your understanding of Excel and ability to enter and retrieve data will keep inventory and training records up-to-date, supporting informed decision-making.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) Compliance: By adhering to HSE standards and promoting safety, you'll help create a safe working environment, reducing the risk of accidents and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

To be successful in this role you will need the following: 

  • Strong Communication Skills: Effectively communicate with Customer Services, external freight forwarders, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and timely shipments.
  • Attention to Detail: Accurately process engine shipments, raise customs requests, and follow up on customer documentation to avoid errors and delays.
  • Team Collaboration: Work well with your team and support staff, fostering a cooperative environment to achieve common goals.
  • Proficiency in Excel: Utilize Excel to manage data, maintain up-to-date inventory and training records, and support decision-making processes.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, generating reports and advanced level computer skills.
  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.
