About the Role

An exciting opportunity has risen in our expanding business for a professional, motivated individual with a positive attitude to join our dynamic Transport Department to contribute towards the day to day running of the business.

Roles And Responsibilities

• Produce a daily Transport Plan in line with customer orders and expectations
• Assist the Transport Management Team to ensure effective management and planning of drivers
• Ensure effective communication to the whole driving team
• Liaising with workshop to ensure equipment inspected on time and defects rectified and maintained to a high standard
• Accepting and dealing with customers’ orders, tracking orders and providing customers with updates as and when necessary
• Helping to manage all forms of communication in regard to customer, sales and driver queries
• Ensuring Driver Hours and Regulations are being adhered to
• Adhering to the company Health and Safety policies & practices
• Helping other staff with any ad-hoc and other administrative duties
  
  

Requirements

• Previous transport planning experience with strong organisational skills
• Good geographical knowledge
• A full understanding of Tachograph, working time and drivers’ hours regulations
• Good communication skills
  
  

This is a hands-on role which will require an enthusiastic individual who is self-motivated, but also able to follow instructions and is keen to learn, in fast-paced, dynamic environment, within the Waste Management Sector.
