GXO is currently seeking a talented and driven individual for the role of Transport First Line Manager, to join us on our The Entertainer site in Banbury. You’ll lead a team of people and coordinate activities to achieve business goals; through focussing on continuous improvement and promoting a team based culture.

This is a full-time, 12 month fixed term contract position. You will work Monday to Friday, 07:00 – 15:30, however flexibility will be essential at peak times, this is logistics after all!.

You’ll be paid a salary of up to £28,922 per annum. What you’ll do on a typical day:


  • Manage the allocation of work on a daily basis, controlling headcount and overtime budgets and ensuring cost, quality and delivery targets are met
  • Create and maintain a positive team culture and spirit, encouraging involvement from all team members when sharing group, divisional and team information
  • Develop and maintain appropriate daily, weekly and monthly reporting mechanisms to monitor, control and improve performance
  • Conduct low level disciplinary meetings, counselling sessions and resolution of grievances where appropriate


What you need to succeed at GXO:


  • Demonstrable experience within a similar role, experience supervising a team and an operational understanding of a fast-paced transport environment
  • Strong leadership skills with excellent communication skills, to champion a can-do attitude
  • Experience of managing conflicting priorities, along with planning and organising skills
  • You will be comfortable taking responsibility demonstrating commitment and leading by example
