Transport Coordinator

Here at XPO, we take our people seriously. We’re looking for a Transport Coordinator to join us on a full-time, permanent basis at our Evesham site, Worcestershire, on the 10am to 7pm or 12 noon to 9pm shifts, Monday to Friday

Pay, benefits and more:

We’re looking to offer a salary of up to £29,000. We offer 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension and many other perks.

What you’ll do on a typical day:

• To assist with the planning of routes and deputising for the planning during annual leave
• Working to and maintaining the operational KPI’s and SLA’s with the customer
• To ensure all administrative traffic duties are carried out as necessary and to a high level of accuracy and professionalism
• To liaise with line management to ensure the effective use of hire vehicles / sub contractors minimising the cost impact to the business
• To ensure that details of vehicle accidents are escalated to line management
• To ensure that defected vehicles are recorded on traffic sheets
• Debrief all the driver on return for runs ensuring the have closed runs effectively and any issues are recovered.
  

What you need to succeed at XPO:

• Working knowledge of driver hours regulations
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK
• Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements
• Financial Understanding
  

• Operational understanding of team roles
