About the Job

The Creative Pattern Technologist role at Bravissimo is all about the technical development, pattern cutting, grading, fit and quality of Bravissimo brand lingerie and swimwear product. Working collaboratively with Buying, Merchandising, Supply, QA and Supplier teams the techs take full technical ownership of styles progressing the min line with Critical Path and always ensuring excellent fit and quality in line with our brand standards at every stage of the product lifecycle from concept development through fitting and sealing, to bulk production and delivery AQL.


As Trainee or Junior Creative pattern technologist, dependant on experience, you will develop your pattern cutting, grading, fitting and garment technical skills with support to manage and progress your own styles against Critical Path from 1st concept through sealing to production. At Trainee level full training is provided for CAD pattern cutting, grading and all technical skills required to fulfil the role. At Junior level you will be expected to work more independently on your styles, so some lingerie or swimwear pattern and grading work experience is required. You will also support a busy technical team by undertaking a variety of tasks including, inspecting garments for quality, providing specs for the QC team, liaising with suppliers, working with a team of sample machinists to organise concept and development samples, ordering fabrics and component sampling, organising fit lists and taking notes for the weekly meetings plus anything else required.

About You

  • You will have a passion for pattern cutting and technical development of great fitting and high-quality Lingerie and Swimwear with a strong customer focus
  • Experience of a computer-based pattern cutting and grading system, Lectra or Gerber, and knowledge of garment construction for lingerie and swimwear is required for Junior but not essential at Trainee Level
  • Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator be beneficial
  • You will be a self-starter who enjoys learning and day to day variety, and is organised, positive, self-motivated and able to effectively prioritise your workload to meet deadlines
  • Attention to detail and accuracy are essential, as is the ability to work accurately under pressure
  • Teamwork drives everything we deliver in Product, and you will be comfortable and confident working collaboratively with colleagues on a day-to-day basis to achieve our goals, and willing to help and support others if needed.
  • You will be working very closely with our external suppliers so you will need to be a strong communicator and able to build and maintain strong working relationships
  • You are comfortable with and able to undertake occasional international travel to factories when required with your manager or senior team members
