Job Title: Trainee Residential Childcare Assessor / Trainer (Unqualified Assessor)

Do you have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working as a Manager within a Residential Children’s Home?

Do you have a passion and interest for training and developing others?

Our client is looking for the successful candidate to possess a solid history within Residential Childcare at Care Manager level within a Children’s Home – full training and support to become a qualified Assessor is provided.

We can also consider candidates who hold a teaching qualification or assessor award but perhaps haven’t utilised it recently.

Location: Home/Field based covering the South East Coast

Salary: £30,000 - £37,000 (Depending on qualifications and experience) + Excellent bonus scheme, up to an additional £10,000 OTE!

Essential Criteria

  • Hold strong, occupational competency at Management level within a Residential Childcare setting.
  • Must hold a Level 3 in Residential Childcare as a minimum.
  • Full, clean, UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
  • Must be flexible with travel.

Duties Include

  • Assess and support a caseload of learners working towards Residential Childcare Apprenticeships up to Level 5.
  • Support learners with Functional Skills Maths and English to Level 2.
  • Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely reviews and meetings are conducted.
  • Conduct online video meetings and training sessions with learners.
  • Organise and maintain documentation on learners' progress.
  • Support, advise and motivate learners.
  • Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
