We will train you to become a fully fledged People Advisor as well as providing you with the chance to complete your full funded CIPD level 5 Associate Diploma in People Management.
You are a positive, resilient, self starter with an eagerness to learn. You will be joining a really innovative engaged team who will support you on this learning journey !
THE ROLE
To work in support of the Senior People Advisors, taking responsibility for an individual HR case load and operate as the first point of contact for line managers and where relevant, employees, within Appello Group. In addition, to undertake relevant HR administrative duties and accountable for all aspects of the HRIS including data entry, data integrity, data maintenance, systems training, system development and implementation and system performance.

You will be training with the team to be able to fulfill the following responsibilities:
- Give appropriate HR advice (employment law related and/or using Appello Group policies/procedures) on key issues such as capability, disciplinaries, grievances and employee health issues
- Support line managers in Disciplinary and Grievance interviews. This includes commissioning an investigation, where appropriate, guiding and advising the line manager during the interview, taking appropriate notes and confirming the outcome
- Ensure that line managers are aware of (and use) Appello policies and procedures effectively, treating employees fairly, in line with good practice and legislative requirements whilst meeting business needs
- Make recommendations for improvements in policies, processes and practices
- Deliver a HR service to customers which is respected for its professionalism and helps the Company to consistently deliver effective and efficient business performance
- To support the effective control of employee absence, providing advice to managers on short term and long term absence, and making and monitoring effective referrals to Occupational Health Provider.
- Regularly review HR policies to ensure compliance with relevant legislation.
