Trainee Payroll Assistant

Jenson Fisher have been engaged by an expanding organisation based in North Lanarkshire to recruit a Finance Assistant on a full-time permanent basis. This role would suit a good all-rounder who would like to learn payroll and be part of a well established team. This is a great opportunity for an Accounts candidate to learn end to end payroll. The hours of work for this post can be 8am to 4pm, 8.30am to 4.30pm or 9am to 5pm.

The Main Duties

• Processing payroll as part of a team
• Processing new starters and leavers
• Processing SSP, SMP
• Dealing with payroll queries
• Sales ledger duties
• Processing invoices
• Cash allocation
• Nominal cash book
• Providing support to the finance team
  
  

Requirements

• Previous accounts experience is essential
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Sage experience would be an advantage
• Highly accurate and detail-oriented
• Team player
• Willingness to learn payroll
