About The Role
Are you ready to put your inspection skills to work in shaping the future of gas transmission at National Gas? If so, we’re looking for a co-worker like you!
We are searching for a Trainee Inspector to join our field team and deliver cutting edge solution to our customers across UK and beyond.
In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting the team by proactively contributing to broader initiatives and workloads to ensure our business objectives are met. This includes assisting NGS Inspectors in supporting, reporting and inspecting a range of specialist techniques to deliver safe and efficient outcomes for both internal and external customers.
In this role you will learn and develop skills in Non-Destructive Testing methods, gaining practical experience and certification to inspect various components. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a career in the quality control and inspection industry.
This position requires some working onsite and involves travel to various sites across the UK, with overnight stays required. A full and valid UK driving license is essential for this role.
What we are looking for
No prior certification is required for this role, however candidates must be willing to work towards NDT certification in relevant methods (UT, MPI, RT, WI).
Physically fit and comfortable working in challenging environments (outdoors, confined spaces, at height)
An interest in engineering, manufacturing or quality control with a basic understanding of mathematics, physics and good problem solving and analytical skills.
