Why This Role is Important to PSI
The TCN System Administrator will be responsible for providing hardware and application support for PSI’s Owned & Operated test center network. Provide timely, professional assistance for proctors throughout the PSI networks, including all hardware, internet and telephony/voice support, e-mail, and remote administration tools. The TCN System Administrator is also an escalation point for our Operational Helpdesk who provide support to our global network of test centers. You will be working as part of a global team, will engage with vendors and technology partners and will contribute to ongoing projects.

Core Responsibilities
The TCN System Administrator’s Primary Responsibilities Are
- Provide hardware and software support for PSI Owned & Operated test centers.
- Some travel (up to 50%) is required to upgrade hardware at US PSI Owned & Operated test centers is required.
- Investigates system issues and provides solutions using specific product knowledge, system utilities, and operating environment.
- Develop PSI-specific proficiency in hardware configuration, assembly, and installation.
- Provide escalated support to Operations Helpdesk staff in support of test center hardware and software.
- Participate in the Quality Assurance process of testing application releases.
- Monitor server logs, maintain asset inventory and assist with other operational checklist items.
- Support General IT network, desktop and infrastructure as needed.
- Assist in the specification, recommendation, installation, and ongoing support of various automated systems (including PCs, servers, networking equipment, communications systems, video conferencing facilities, mobile test centers and more.)
- Perform project work as assigned.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
- Strong experience troubleshooting Microsoft Windows 10/11 systems.
- Good skills with Office 365 applications and environment
- Knowledge of basic network operation including Wireless Networking, Ethernet, and TCP/IP fundamentals
- Understanding of print functions and experience troubleshooting printing issues
- Experience in assisting remote users across multiple time zones. * Knowledge of VOIP phone systems a plus
- Knowledge of Cisco IOS a plus
- Excellent diagnostic ability
- Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with staff and clients.
- Perform consistently as a good team player with a positive attitude.
- Self-starter with the ability to multitask, manage tasks and time effectively, and stay well organized in a fast-paced environment following projects from beginning to end, providing updates along the way.
- The job may require occasional travel to remote sites domestic and international.
- Some activities may require evening or weekend work to be undertaken in support of the IT network.
- Must be able to obtain UK security clearance
