We are looking for a dynamic and driven Territory Manager to join our UK Sales team. This is a key field-based role where you’ll take ownership of your territory — driving sales, growing market share, and executing brand and trade marketing activities across independent and symbol stores.
As a Territory Manager, you’ll act as the face of BAT, building strong relationships with retailers and ensuring our brands — including some of the most iconic names in the category — are represented with excellence in every outlet.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong commercial awareness, passion for sales, and a desire to make an impact in a fast-paced FMCG environment.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
Own and grow your territory
- Manage your own geographical territory of independent and symbol retailers selling nicotine products
- Execute trade and brand marketing initiatives with precision and consistency
- Ensure optimal distribution, visibility, and compliance with brand guidelines across all points of sale
- Deliver sales and market share targets within your area
- Identify growth opportunities and develop business plans to expand reach across conventional and unconventional channels
- Monitor competitors’ activities and provide actionable insights to the business
- Foster strong relationships with key retail partners, ensuring BAT remains a trusted and preferred supplier
- Educate customers on digital tools, new products, and best practices
- Support brand activations and in-store visibility drives to enhance consumer engagement
- Independently manage your daily, weekly, and monthly cycle visits
- Track performance, manage your zone budget, and report results regularly
- Ensure all company standards, safety, and compliance measures are upheld
- Relevant experience in sales or trade marketing (FMCG preferred)
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — comfortable influencing and negotiating
- Proven sales drive and results-oriented mindset
- Strong planning and organisation skills with the ability to work independently
- Resilient, proactive, and adaptable in a fast-moving environment
- Good level of business English and basic IT proficiency
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel extensively across your territory
