Temp Financial Accountant

Description

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Financial Accountant is a key role within the finance department.

This is a stand alone role that will be responsible for;

• Manage the compilation of management accounts in accordance with organisational requirements and timescales (e.g. month-end close).
• Undertake and manage business planning, budgeting and forecasting activity as required.
• Manage and undertake reconciliations as required.
• Maintain cashbook and Nominal Ledger control accounts.
• Supervise and control banking transactions.
• Supervise and control foreign travel facilities.
• Assist in the compilation, preparation and timely submission of statutory accounts.
• Undertake reconciliation, preparation and timely submission of VAT returns and PAYE and NIC payments.
• Liaise with Company's tax advisors on any matters relating to tax and national insurance computation and payment.
• Liaise with Payroll Department to ensure that all of the Company's obligations in relation to the collection and payment of tax and NIC for stock option exercises and vestings are properly discharged in a timely manner.
• Maintain and control the Fixed Assets Register and depreciation schedules.
• Completion and submission of various Government returns as required, including intrastat returns.
• Manage the Company expenses processing system.
• Support the annual stocktake and annual cost roll-up processes, including resource management, time management and final report out.
• Deputise for the Management accountant or Financial Controller as required.
• Manage the Company Travel and Expense process via the Concur system.
• Support the Financial Controller in the monitoring and reporting requirements of Sarbanes-Oxley, including updating process narratives and conducting self-testing for the site.
• Assist in the review of Capital and Revenue expense requests, including investment appraisal.
• Assist and contribute to the implementation of Operational Excellence in all aspects of the business as required.
• Assist or manage various ad hoc finance projects as and when required.
  
  

Profile

A Successful Financial Accountant Should Have

• Qualified Accountant with ACA, ACCA, CIMA
• Excellent analytical skills.
• High level of Excel / spreadsheet skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated ability to effectively perform in multi-functional environment.
  
  

Job Offer

• A competitive daily rate of approximately £250 to £350 per day, depending on experience.
• Temporary position for 4 months
• Hybrid working
