Duties and responsibilities of a Telehandler/Forklift Driver:

Job Description
Duties and responsibilities of a Telehandler/Forklift Driver:
- Forklift operation including reach and extension
- Lift and move materials around site, remaining mindful of load capacities and limitations
- Load and unload materials on site
- Ensure daily checks are carried out prior to operating
- Assisting with site preparation and cleanup, using various bucket attachments
- Working at heights and supporting with high level tasks
- Provide basic maintenance and cleaning to ensure the machine is in good working condition. Ensure faults or issues are reported promptly.
- Communicate effectively – Use hand signals or radios to coordinate lifts and movements.
- Adhering to site safety and remaining compliant with legislations
- Any other reasonable duties as instructed by line manager
Personal Specification
Essential
- Demonstrate previous site experience in a Telehandler/Forklift Driver role - Ideally with a large contractor.
- Implement strong communication skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
- Valid CSR/SAFEPASS/CSCS Card.
- Valid CPCS Telehandler Blue card.
- Health & Safety Induction Including Management System.
- First Aid Training.
- Experience on large scale construction projects.
- Ability to read and interpret site plans or instructions.
