Salary: £45,000 per annum

Working Hours: Monday to Friday 8.00 am to 17.00 pm

Contract Type: Perm, Full Time (40 hours per week)

About The Role

Role Overview

As a Technical Writer, you'll support the closure of Priority 1 Global Engineering Standards (GES) and SOP policy gaps across WREF sites by delivering high-quality technical documentation and policy support. This is a site based role working within our Quality and Compliance team at GSK Stevenage.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with GES GAP PM, EMCOR SMEs, and technical leads to prioritize and deliver documentation tasks.
  • Create, audit, and refine compliance files, logbooks, policies, training materials, and site-level documentation.
  • Ensure all documents meet established templates and writing standards.
  • Incorporate user feedback, conduct usability testing, and validate documentation accuracy.
  • Provide administrative support (e.g., meeting coordination, dashboard updates).
  • Contribute to technical workstreams including asset onboarding, compliance activities (e.g., PSSR, L8, LEV), lifecycle asset management, and technical drawing updates.

Who You'll Be

  • HND-qualified in Technical Communications or a related technical/engineering discipline (or equivalent experience).
  • At least 1 year of hands-on technical writing experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with Adobe Acrobat Pro or Visio is a plus.
  • Strong writing, editing, analytical, and organisational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Skilled at simplifying and clearly documenting complex technical topics.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Qualified in Mechanical, Electrical, or L8 CP (one or more).
  • Familiar with technical compliance standards and policies
