WHAT WE'LL NEED

To lead and manage all technical aspects of the supply chain for WRI EMEA. Working closely with suppliers to develop and implement food safety programs, manage quality control procedures, authenticity, legal compliance and address any technical issues related to the supply chain. Ensuring that food, pack and equipment meet with industry regulations and are aligned to Wingstop Strategy.


This role focuses on the products and processes related to food ingredients, packaging, plus equipment supplied into our Brand Partners restaurants through to the finished menu item. Ensuring best practices and brand standards are applied, delivering a safe and excellent Wingstop experience to our customers.


  • Supplier management, evaluating potential and existing suppliers, ensuring they meet quality, safety, and regulatory standards. Adopting continuous improvements in supplier performance through KPI management and the creation of strategic technical plans.
  • Responsible for approving and maintaining supplier’s product specifications, labels and quality documents for all food and packaging. Overseeing the Trace-gains system with suppliers and the GSC FSQA team
  • Monitors food labeling, allergen matrix, safe food production and safe food handling to ensure Wingstop restaurants are in compliance with such laws and regulations. Communicating to stakeholders of any impending or proposed regulatory changes.
  • Develop and enforce the Wingstop standard for animal welfare, husbandry and sustainability within our supply chain.
  • Food Safety and Quality Management: Oversee food safety programs, quality control procedures, and compliance with relevant regulations. Including regular quality cutting sessions with suppliers and internal stakeholder, shelf-life evaluation and organoleptic testing across the EMEA region.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices for food manufacturing, preparation and handling according to regional and local regulatory requirements.
  • Analyzes supplier production reports and 3 rd party audit reports for variances or deviations from Wingstop specifications.
  • Manage supplier’s Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) audits, (SEDEX.), independent third parties, internal, and regulatory entities. Analyze results and gather corrective action plans for audit non-conformance.
  • Validate and approve new supplier facilities that will support Wingstop Supply Chain
  • Responsible for recall process of WRI products across the EMEA region.
  • Working cross functionally with the international team to standardize supplier product compliance and performance.
  • Investigate and resolve technical issues related to supplier performance and product quality. Analyse and interpret trends in customer complaints and product testing. Conduct investigations with suppliers identifying the root cause and putting corrective and preventative actions in place
  • Lead New Product Development and Continuous Improvement of products to comply with Brand or regional standards.
  • Responsible for the technical elements of NPD and EPD projects ensuring testing is completed on time for nutritional, operational procedures, and shelf life prior to launch. Attends production trials and first productions.
  • Effectively communicate technical information and collaborate with internal cross functional teams, suppliers and stake holders.


WHAT YOU'LL NEED

  • People skills Ideally educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably in food science, microbiology or other related science or experience
  • Minimum of 6-year experience in the food Industry.
  • Experienced in poultry, food manufacturing or food hospitality/retail, would be ideal.
  • Strong working knowledge of EU food legislation, GFSI standards, HACCP and restaurant operations from a food safety perspective with the ability to investigate food safety and quality complaints
