Equans is looking for aTechnical Services Manager (Operations) to join our team in Pinderfields and Pontefract Hospitals on a permanent basis. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week. On offer is a competitive salary, bonus and benefits package.

Reporting to the Senior Technical Manager, the Technical Services Manager (Ops) is part of the team of site-based leads for all mechanical, electrical and building fabric technical service delivery. The role incorporates participation on the 24hr on-call rota as part of the local escalation procedures

The TSM will lead, direct, and motivate the site Technical Services team to maximise their potential and contribution to best practice service delivery.

What will you deliver?

The main responsibilities include the management of the maintenance teams, including specialist subcontractors, to ensure the safe and continuous operation of the hospital.

The TSM is responsible for coordinating site operations in compliance with company, contract and local operating procedures to ensure a standardised approach to the Equans service delivery including.

  • All activities within the Technical Services team to meet and exceed the contracted service level agreements (SLAs) and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • establishing and maintaining effective business relationships with all key stakeholders, customers, partners, contractors and other third parties to deliver best practice services.
  • compliance with all statutory requirements in relation to safe working practices and safe operation of plant, equipment and services and all activities essential to meet all relevant Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) and Quality Assurance requirements
  • the management and review the site Health & Safety (H&S) Plan and associated Risk Assessments, alongside the SHEQ team, ensuring that obligations for H&S and any statutory requirements associated to the delivery of the contract are appropriately and fully applied.
  • Ensuring maintenance (planned & reactive) is carried out in line with budgetary and quality constraints and in line with agreed service levels and all relevant legislation.

Who are we looking for?

  • Qualified to HNC/HND level in an engineering discipline, with a proven managerial track record for past 3/5 years.
  • A technical background, preferably having had significant exposure to a Healthcare environment.
  • Holds or has held AP appointments for or be willing to obtain through professional development.
  • Demonstrates technical leadership.
  • Must have (or be able to obtain) Disclosure Barring Service (DBS) clearance to ‘Standard’ level
