About This Opportunity

Working within a busy European IT department the successful candidate is to provide advanced technical expertise on IT SAP systems and software programming. The successful candidate will also handle helpdesk calls within area of responsibility. This role will provide IT Service Operation and continual Service improvements as per the quality of service defined within EISS and ITIL, and within the governance and standards framework. And, act as a service owner, handling communication and documentation for the allocated IT Services.

Main Challenges and Complexities

• To work on technical problems requiring deep technical knowledge
• To handle pressure and provide high availability when critical issue occurs
• To follow system evolutions and maintain/improve technical knowledge at all time
• To document and keep documentation of IT services up-to-date
  
  

Main Responsibilities

• To handle critical system incident and problems
• Administration and optimization of SAP platform and ecosystem
• Responsible for standardization, deployment and licenses
• Helpdesk call management
• Testing of fixes made against helpdesk calls and organise user acceptance testing
• Handle IT Service documentation and continuous Improvement
• Maintain a strategic plan aligned with IT policy regarding upgrades, patches and security while ensuring all SAP related products are in mainstream support.
• Contribute to project tasks when appropriate and within area of expertise
• Meet governance requirements and comply with SOX and ISO/ITIL framework procedures
  
  

Required Qualifications, Skills And Experience

• Degree in Information Technology
• Certificate in ITIL Foundation
• Ability to communicate effectively by phone and email
• Ability to work and communicate effectively within a diverse cultural environment
• Highly organised
• Excellent attention to detail
