For Eaton’s Exertherm business unit, we are looking for a Technical Sales and Customer Success Leader for the European market.

Exertherm is the pioneer and technology leader in the space of hotspot detection in Power Distribution networks- 24/7 Continuous Thermal Monitoring (CTM).

The role is opened in a hybrid setup for the following locations in Europe: UK/Harpenden, The Netherlands/Hengelo, Germany/Bonn, Austria/Vienna and Sweden/Stockholm.

Travel rate across Europe is up to 30 - 50% of the working time.

Responsibilities

  • Define, plan and drive all technical sales and customer success activities within the European Region, train and support in boosting growth of our thermal monitoring solutions, in close collaboration with Regional Sales Leader and the Technical Support Team
  • Provide technical pre- and post-sales solutions support to customers and the Exertherm partner network, incl. travel to client sites as required
  • Prepare the technical designs and client quotes based on company standards and templates and building good client relationships
  • Keep accurate records of all customer support and discussions with partners. Proficiency using customer relationship management (CRM) software, ideally HubSpot
  • Drive technical sales efficiency by ensuring appropriate methodical and technical solutions knowledge and product support to internal sales staff
  • Ensure know-how sharing and cross-collaboration. Align with engineering and technical support on a regular basis on all support, training and product issues


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree (ideally in electrical/electronic engineering, industrial engineering, computer science, …) or equivalent degree level
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience from Industry or an OEM Panel manufacturer, with proven track in driving either Technical Sales, Field Service, Project Management, Installation / Commissioning Services, Technical Business Development
  • Expertise with supporting industrial markets in Europe, ideally in the electrification / power systems space is desired
  • Both Technical skills (reading and understanding electrical single line and GA drawings) and commercial acumen and understanding are required, including the ability to deal with clients at all levels of management
  • Good knowledge and understanding of Health and Safety requirements on sites
  • Critical thinker that identifies areas of improvement in own as well as adjacent functional areas
  • Well organized with the ability to plan a workload to achieve deadlines and deliver projects to timescales
  • Quick, agile, confident, thoughtful, with the ability to bring new thinking and ideas
  • Excellent attention to detail, and a collaborative and proactive manner
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal (additional languages are a plus)
  • Availability to travel 50% of the working time
