Purpose of the Role

Join Product and Concepts as the Technical Project Manager where you'll collaborate with the Chief Technical Engineer, to deliver BEV projects in line with our product ambitions & strategy. Reporting into the Chief Technical Engineer your main responsibilities include;

  • Leading and supporting the R&D project team
  • R&D representative in key project reviews
  • Responsibility for delivery of BEV projects
  • Responsible for cross-functional alignment of R&D deliverables
  • Ownership of end to end R&D delivery plan for specific projects
  • Inter-departmental facilitation for complex technical topics
  • Platform and cross-brand interface for R&D on specific projects
  • PEP Gateway R&D readiness and management of functional support

About The Team

Product and Concepts hold responsibility for the development of optimum engineering solutions for Bentley products, balancing technical and project priorities. The team are a strategic powerhouse responsible for the alignment of technical strategies between individual Product Lines and R&D.

About You – Skills And Experience

The successful candidate will be a Project Manager with experience Ideally gained from the automotive, or similar, engineering Industry. You will have the ability to manage key technical topics, driving varied projects through product emergence processes to achieve key milestones through collaboration across the different functional areas. You will ideally have experience / knowledge of vehicle development programmes and techniques. Experience of digital product development techniques would be also be advantageous. Along with the following:

  • Previous experience of technical content management within a technically challenging environment
  • Examples of managing projects
  • Communication, influencing and presenting skills to senior level
  • IT skills including advanced PowerPoint and Project Management systems
  • An Engineering/relevant degree subject or equivalent relevant experience
