Position Overview
As a Technical Program Manager at Axelera AI, you will oversee the planning, milestones, and deliverables of complex AI-related programs encompassing system-on-chip (SoC), software, and integrated systems. Your role ensures these projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Reporting to the Director of Program Management (Philip), you will collaborate closely with Hardware (Philip) and Software (Shiri) Program Managers to plan and track technical deliverables from architecture, silicon, software, and integrated systems teams.

Position Overview
As a Technical Program Manager at Axelera AI, you will oversee the planning, milestones, and deliverables of complex AI-related programs encompassing system-on-chip (SoC), software, and integrated systems. Your role ensures these projects are completed on schedule and within budget.
Reporting to the Director of Program Management (Philip), you will collaborate closely with Hardware (Philip) and Software (Shiri) Program Managers to plan and track technical deliverables from architecture, silicon, software, and integrated systems teams.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage end-to-end development of SoC and hardware-related programs, including associated software deliverables, from initiation through delivery.
- Work with Program and Engineering teams to develop and execute project plans, ensuring teams have clear product specifications, direction, and resources.
- Establish realistic estimates and timelines, continuously monitoring progress to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Identify, assess, and document program risks, working across the business to implement mitigation strategies.
- Establish mechanisms for gathering metrics, reviewing, and improving planning and estimation methodologies.
- Coordinate project status reports and summarize key project information.
- PM experience (outside of prior roles): at least 3-5 years of experience in technical or project/program management within a technology-focused organization.
- Product Development: Proven experience in developing products that involve silicon, SoC, and software components.
- Delivery Record: A history of successfully delivering silicon or software products as a development or program manager.
- Lifecycle Knowledge: Strong understanding of the silicon development lifecycle, from requirements definition through design, tape-out, SoC bring-up, qualification, and commercial deployment.
- Autonomy: Ability to work independently with a high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment.
- Execution Focus: Strong emphasis on execution and delivery, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Influential Leadership: Experience in project governance outside of technical teams, with the ability to manage by influence.
- Matrixed Environment Experience: Extensive experience working in a matrixed development environment.
- Communication Skills: Outstanding verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

- Work from one of our Axelera AI offices (Leuven in Belgium, Amsterdam and Eindhoven in the Netherlands, Zurich in Switzerland, Florence and Milan in Italy or Bristol in the United Kingdom) if you're already based in the vicinity.
- Work remotely from any European country (incl. the UK) you are already in.
- Relocate with us and work from Italy (Florence or Milan) or the Netherlands (Amsterdam or Eindhoven).
