Reporting to the PMMA Operations Manager, the role of the trainee planner is vital to ensure that all works by Special Projects engineers are carried out in a timely manner. They are responsible for keeping track of works to ensure the smooth running of the department.

Position: Technical Planner

Location: Customer Solution Centre, Slough, Berkshire (PMMA Division)

Job Type: Permanent, full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 37.5 hours per week (start times to be discussed)

Salary: up to £34,000 per annum, depending upon experience (to be discussed at interview)

About The Role

Due to continued growth and development, we are now looking for customer focused people to join us in our Utility Division, working on our Thames Water contract service to deliver real and effective solutions to waste-water network and drainage problems.

  • Raising Permits and notices
  • Liaise with allocated region for confirmed resource for the following week by 10am Friday.
  • Closure of all activities and related WOLI’s.
  • Ensuring that there are no duplicate jobs open impacting the overall mitigation figures..
  • Daily update on all jobs that are out for that day and escalate to the project manager if there is any risk unable.
  • Daily update on all works that are in progress with an ETA of completion date.
  • Have a planned date for all FOW activities.
  • Managing active jobs
  • Support the project manager as required working alongside their requests.
  • Ensure that all data capture sheets are fully completed, and the data is ready and accurate
  • Undertake any reasonable ad hoc projects, tasks or requests as and when requested by management

About You

The ideal candidate will be hard working and respectful and comply with health and safety standards. Experience with Microsoft Office is preferable. Experience of street works.
