Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a Technical Engineer, for our Keystone Lintels brand, based in Swadlincote.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate, competitive and detailed technical quotes within set timescales to help maintain the company’s customer service targets.

Responsibilities/Duties

  • Prepare load assessments and load calculations imposed on lintels
  • Specify standard off-the-shelf products, and bespoke lintels designed specifically for relevant projects
  • Ensure the Keystone scheduling service is accurate, cost- competitive and returned within the agreed time-frame to maintain the company’s customer service targets.
  • Issue confirmation drawings for the customer’s approval for special lintel orders received.
  • Prepare fabrication drawings based on the customer’s requirements for special lintel orders.
  • Provide structural performance calculations at the customer’s request for supplied lintels as required by building control
  • Highlight opportunities for the supply of other Keystone Group products to the relevant department

Skills & Experience

  • Hold a 2:1 Degree from Engineering-related discipline e.g. Construction, Structural or Civil Engineering
  • AutoCAD experience is desirable
  • Focused on Customer Service
  • Competent use of excel and MS Office packages
  • Excellent organisational and communication skills
  • Target driven & ambitious
