As a Technical Lead at Sizewell B Power Station, that's absolutely what you can expect! This is an excellent opportunity to be involved with this crucial ambition for EDF - a long term investment in the operation of a station that each year generates enough electricity to power 2.5 million homes.
The Opportunity
At Sizewell B Power Station, we’re working on securing safe, sustainable, low carbon energy for the UK until at least 2055 with the continued safe generation of our station. Our Single Integrated Delivery Organisation (SIDO) is utilising innovation in ideas and solutions to guarantee the best value outcomes for programme investments, operations and wider industry and society.
Working from either Sizewell B Power Station or our central office in Gloucester, we have two vacancies available – a Technical Lead in Equipment Qualification and a Technical Lead in Ageing and Obsolescence. As a Technical Lead, you will build a multi-disciplinary team, combining technical and project management to deliver our portfolio of investment delivery projects. These are technical leadership roles, with opportunities to apply your technical, collaboration and management capabilities to resolve complex, multi-faceted technical topics. You’ll work with a variety of stakeholders ranging from engineering to supply chain and contract partners to senior leaders. You’ll be identifying synergies, resolving conflicts and developing risk mitigation strategies, in our Joint Technical Centre across Gloucester and Sizewell B.
Pay, Benefits And Culture
The salary range associated with this role is between £54,391 - £84,892. This is alongside a market-leading pension scheme and a package including a range of benefits, from the big and formal to the small and personal. We’re talking about everything from enhanced parental leave to electric vehicle leasing, health insurance to product discounts, critical illness insurance to technology vouchers, gym membership to season ticket loans.
At EDF UK, we embrace flexibility while recognising that everyone’s working needs are different. Whether you’re in our office spaces, on site, or working remotely, we promote an environment that supports collaboration, connection, and comfort. No matter where you are, our priority is to make sure you feel safe, valued, and celebrated.
Here, we do right by each other and everyone’s welcome. We’re on an action-oriented journey, championing equity, diversity, and inclusion. We’d like our future workforce to have an equal gender balance, represent a broad mix of people from minority ethnic backgrounds, LGBTQ+, those with a disability and supporting social mobility. We’re a disability confident employer and we’ll do all we can to help with your application. Please let us know if you need to request reasonable adjustments.
We take pride in fostering a dynamic and inclusive environment, where the diverse backgrounds and experiences of our employees drive fresh thinking and innovation. We understand that success means different things to different people. We believe there are multiple definitions of what it means to succeed.
