We are seeking a Technical Consultant - Network Engineer to provide technical support, administer and make changes on the data network in LAN, WAN, Wireless and Security environments, with a minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar discipline, to join the infrastructure team. The role is an exciting mix of BAU and Project work where you will have a real impact on the future of the companies networking estate.

The role will include support to existing and new systems and services. The provided support will be at varied levels of scope and complexity, ranging from small changes tracked in our issue management application to managing larger projects involving other team members and stakeholders from other teams. This role will also contribute to internal team projects to support and enhance the existing services, such as hardware refreshes, performance improvements, business continuity and disaster recovery planning and testing.

This role may be based in Leeds or Exeter.

Colleagues with a contractual office base are expected to spend, on average, at least 40% of their time working in-person.

Staff recruited from outside the NHS will usually be appointed at the bottom of the pay band.

NHS England hold a Sponsor Licence; this means that we may be able to sponsor you providing the Home Office requirements are met. To be eligible for sponsorship through the Skilled Worker route you’ll usually need to be paid the ‘standard’ salary rate of at least £38,700 per year, or the ‘going rate’ for your job, whichever is higher.
