We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to oversee the production line at our bacon slicing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the production line, meeting daily production targets and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

The Role
We are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to oversee the production line at our bacon slicing facility. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of employees to ensure the efficient and smooth operation of the production line, meeting daily production targets and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of employees effectively.
- Collaborate with engineers and QA staff to maximize efficiency and reduce downtime.
- Track and record productivity rates/KPIs to ensure quality, output, and daily targets are met.
- Ensure product date codes and packaging information are accurate, working with the Team Captain and QA Department.
- Build strong relationships with team leaders, managers, and senior managers based on trust and respect.
- Tailor communication style to suit different audiences, including senior managers, peers, and production staff.
- Work with the Training Department to develop succession plans and train the team for growth.
- Promote multi-skilling to keep employees motivated and meet KPI targets.
- Maintain quality control standards and follow procedures and audits.
- Ensure the work area stays clean and organized by following the "clean as you go" policy.
- Perform other duties as assigned by your Line Manager, as long as they align with the role’s responsibility level.
- Support the team in implementing new initiatives and promoting best practices at all times.
- Understanding of FMCG industry, retailer products and quality standards preferable
- Experience of successfully managing tasks/projects to completion
- Determined and resilient, with the drive to complete tasks
- Effective planning and organisation skills
- Effective communication - written, verbal and non-verbal
- Promotes a continuous improvement approach by continually challenging and driving standards forward
